Instructional Features
Each camper receives instruction based on their age and ability. Groups will be broken up into three levels: Majors, Minors and Junior Minors. Instruction will include, but is not limited to: hitting, bunting, fielding, relays, coverage plays, and base running.

The day will be broken into two parts: the morning will be instruction and drills, and the afternoon will feature applied instruction, skills, contests, and finally games concluding every camp day. At the end of the four-week session, each group will have a championship game with professional umpires, to which all parents are invited to attend. An awards ceremony will follow the game where campers will all be given a trophy and have the opportunity to earn individual awards such as MVP, most improved, sportsmanship, etc.

Additional Camp Features
Squire Baseball Academy is one of the few instructional camps in the area with a facility as state-of-the-art as The Masters School. We have college-caliber fields, a credible coaching staff, and are currently one of the only academies in the area to boast an indoor batting cage. The cage will be used primarily for batting practice and tee work, which becomes a real asset on rainy days when we don’t have to lose instructional time due to bad weather.

Guest Speakers
Squire will also feature one guestspeaker per session. Past speakers have included former and current MLB players, as well as area college coaches, umpires, and current minor leaguers.

Meet the Director
Marc Casey is entering his 12th year as part of the Squire family. He is a familiar face around the baseball camp having worked and co-directed the camp in previous years. Like most of the Squire staff, Marc is a teacher and coach during the school year, which makes it a smooth transition from school to camp. As far as his baseball credibility, Marc has an extensive resume. He was an all-county high school player, earning him a baseball scholarship to Mercy College where he was a four-year starter. After graduation, Marc continued to play at the semi-professional level, traveling all over the country to play in tournaments. Marc coached at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in 2003, and is now teaching in elementary school and coaching high school baseball in Westchester, NY.
