Squire Baseball Camp (ages 7–15)
Instructional Features
Squire Baseball Camp ensures that each camper receives top-quality instruction and develops skills to take them to the next level. Groups are organized into three levels: Majors, Minors, and Junior Minors. Instruction includes but is not limited to: hitting, bunting, fielding, relays, coverage plays, and base running. Coaches also record and analyze each campers swing with a slow motion video camera.
The day consists of two parts: Morning instruction and clinics, with afternoon applied instruction and games concluding each day. Lunch in the air-conditioned dining hall is included, a game room break is given directly after lunch, and an ice-pop break is given in mid-afternoon. At the end of the 4 week session, each group plays a championship game with professional umpires to which all family are invited.
Swimming in the morning (at the Chemka pool in Hastings) is optional.
Facilities & Equipment
Squire Baseball is the only baseball camp in the area with a facility as state of the art as the Masters School. In addition to our experienced coaching staff, Squire Baseball provides campers with college caliber fields and is one of the only camps to boast an indoor batting cage, full size gym, and an air-conditioned dining hall. The cage and gym is used for batting practice, tee work and games, and becomes a real asset on rainy days when no instructional time is lost to inclement weather.
Equipment Needs: Each camper provides their own sneakers, baseball glove, and cleats.
Registration: Squire Baseball is offered for 4 weeks (Session 1: 6/25/12-7/20/12) each summer. Less than full session registration is available; please call or email for information.
